Una cosa che ti ha colpito
Hello everyone, and especially hello IIS Chino Chini, I’d like to share my thoughts upon your amazing review of the book. Since I go to a linguistic school, I’ll take this opportunity to express myself in english.
I love how you didn’t just talk about the book but how it is strongly connected to our daily lives.
We clearly see that Pereira wants to share what’s happening around him and everything that’s not fairtowards his people, but he clearly knows that there is the presence of a harsh censorship and the population can’t afford to express their truth, their thoughts, they are being put in silence by an unfair censorship.
Althought Pereira is not free to express his thoughts, he does it anyways at the end of the book, which makes him a heroe that goes against his fear and shows the reality of the world by speaking his truth.
He is really strong as you said, it’s not easy, and I can’t even imagine what it feels like to lose your loved one. Having to live with this emptiness and sadness for years and years without being able to change anything it’s probably the worst thing that could happen to anyone.
Living in a constant contrast between denial and rejection brings about lots of trauma.
He even talks with the photo of her dead wife, as you said.
It’s undisputed that this book has a lot to teach and it really leaves a mark, in a positive way, on your life.
I suggest that everyone reads it, especially if you are going through a similar period in your life.
Thank you for this amazing opportunity.
